Rough Mango is a Brazilian alternative , indie and pop rock band from Ijuí, Brazil.
The band formed in 2023 from the idea of recording songs from an old band owned by one of the band’s founders Christian Bezerra. He combined this desire and his past rock band experience enriched with the teenage spirit of new members Daniel, Rodrigo, Luis and Nicolas. The band mixes the experience of the past with feet in the future. Most of the members met through music school and recording studio, some were long-time friends like Christian and Rodrigo and the rest were friends from other projects.
The main influences of the band’s first songs are Live, U2, REM, Australian bands such as Man at Work and INXS, as well as Toad The Wet Sprocket, Temple of the Dog, The Cure, Queen, Radiohead and many others. Indie bands such as Frans Ferdinand and The Strokes also have a great influence on the Rough Mango sound.
Their unique brand of entertainment fuses garage rock and many studio recording partnerships with simplicity and sonic experiences that will make you want new generations to rediscover the true spirit of rock.
Recently, as we have only been in the band for 1 year, we had the opportunity to hear our songs being played on Unijuí FM radio, we have 3 songs on different digital platforms and currently the band is working on a new single called Extinction which they plan to release in September 2024.

A banda formou-se em 2023 a partir de uma ideia de gravar músicas de uma antiga banda de um dos fundadores Christian Bezerra. Ele juntou esse desejo e sua experiência de banda de rock do passado enriquecido com o espírito adolescente dos novos integrantes Daniel, Rodrigo, Luis e Nicolas. A banda mescla a experiência do passado com os pés no futuro. Os membros na sua maioria se conheceram através da escola de música e estúdio de gravação, alguns eram amigos de longa data como Christian e Rodrigo e os demais amigos de outros projetos.
